Dear IACS Friends,
As you might know, this society has a long history for helping victims of earthquake disasters in past ten years in Iran. The assistance to the victims happened either by IACS alone or by joint efforts of 16 other organizations. To name just one among others, IACS has helped to build schools in the earthquake stricken areas of Khorasan, Ardebil, and Rudbar. Now, again considering what has taken place in Azerbaijan and all those families in desperate need for help, we need your financial help as before.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control has issued Iranian General License C, which authorizes, U.S.- based non-governmental organizations to raise funds for a 45-day period, until October 5th and send those funds to Iran. The fund should be used for earthquake relief efforts in response to the August 11, 2012 earthquake in northwestern Iran. IACS will collaborate with other trusted organizations with OFAC license for distribution of the raised fund in the disaster area.
