The Iranian American Cultural Society (IACS) of Maryland is a non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization, which facilitates Iranian cultural activities and programs in this area.
The Society has been run by volunteers who are dedicated to promoting the Iranian heritage and customs in our adopted State.
It was established and registered in 1968 by some Iranian physicians. Since then it has been serving the Iranian community continuously. It is one of the first societies of this type. Having cultural gathering once a month, directing two Persian schools, each one with classes from first to six, helping Iranian community are just naming a few of its many activities.
IACS’ mission is to preserve, promote and encourage positive attributes of Iranian culture and to enhance intercultural diffusion between other nationalities and Iranians living in the United States.
